Shantanique Moore holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Wayne State University, where she was awarded the Harry Begian Musicianship Award, a prestigious award given annually to an outstanding musician at the collegiate level. Ms. Moore is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at Wayne State University, with a concentration in flute performance. Upon acceptance into graduate school, she was awarded the Evangeline Dumesnil Music Scholarship, a scholarship offered to an outstanding graduate student based on talent and academic success.
As an undergraduate student, Shantanique won the Wayne State University Concerto Competition and the 2013 Southern Great Lakes Symphony Concerto Competition. Shantanique has performed as a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensembles and now performs with the Dearborn Symphony, Macomb Symphony, and Michigan Philharmonic, among others.
